With the given text, about the development of language throughout various cultures, I typeset the book in Adobe Indesign and hand bound this book from scratch using a kettle stitch binding.

Process
The cover was inspired by the design inside the book of colorful lines that dictate each chapter. I also chose to have an acetate book sleeve, so that it can reveal the real title when it is taken off, which is “Language”.
Using different colored papers to print on, I was able to create system throughout the book, separating each chapter with a larger page that would identify the chapter.
I typeset the text into a grided structure and played with the placement of the images throughout the book.
